The Website HowsMySSL can be used to check whether your browser properly implements SSL (or TLS). In other words, when you think you are securely and privately connected to someone, is your browser screwing up and allowing insecurities to creep in? HowsmySSL will also explain what a failing browser is doing wrong.

Use this site to check your browsers, especially on your phones and tablets as those are the worst. I've found that the Android versions of Firefox, Chrome, Javelin and Opera are all solid.

Don't worry if you only get a "Probably Okay" rating. That's the best you can get.
