DropBox Issues

As I said in the June issue, people who make the security mistakes made by Dropbox, won't be trusted with either my computer or my data. Their lack of security consciousness worries me.

In June, for a period of about 4 hours, anyone could access any other member's account  and all data in it without using any password. After users reported the issue of any password working to login to an account, it was promptly fixed, but it should never have happened in the first place. These kinds of mistakes should not occur.

This means of course that the information DropBox claimed was encrypted was accessible to all.
