NASA Computer Compromised

According to a Justice Department press release, a Washington-based NASA employee received the email from an individual she had had met on an online dating site. She opened an attachment which installed malware on her government issued computer and collected her computer passwords, bank account numbers, social security number, driver's license information and address and sent them back to the criminal.

Working with the Nigerian government, the Department of Justice helped to convict the swindler. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
