Interesting article

Cybercriminals are now making malware installation "user-friendly" by embedding video tutorials into fake CAPTCHA pages. This campaign, known as "ClickFix," uses social engineering and countdown timers to pressure users into copying and pasting malicious code.

Malwarebytes demonstrates an interesting new scam that could possibly catch some of you or your less tech-savvy friends. It is worth sharing.

Fake captcha phishing scam

It demonstrates a fake CAPTCHA that uses social engineering to convince naive users to download, install, and run malware on their computers. They actually convince users to open a terminal and then paste in a command to run. Many, but not all, of these are caught, and you'll be protected by a good antivirus program. However, it is a good read that might be very helpful for your less astute and particularly older friends.
