Use Comcast's Autoreply

When leaving Comcast email, you should set up your autoreply at Comcast to tell your contacts to use your new address. Here's how.

If you choose to leave Comcast's email instead of having them sell you to Yahoo for reselling, be sure and get your new email soon and then add it as an auto-reply to your Comcast account.

Sign into your Xfinity email, and then click the settings gear in the upper right.

In the settings, on the left, there is an option for auto reply. Choose it.

So, just fill in the auto-reply with your new message and a notice for users to use that instead. My client Rick Leipzig has also changed his signature on his new domain account to include the notice that people should use this new email address and remove the Comcast address from their address book.
