Xfinity now offers cell phone service!

Xfinity / Comcast is now offering cell phone service to people who subscribe to their Internet service. For some people, this could be the best and cheapest phone service available. For those with limited cell data needs, the service would give unlimited text and talk for nothing per month. That's right. For free.

They are reselling Verizon, so coverage should be good. They require you to buy their phones and overcharge for the phones, but still, it is worth investigating for someone interesting in saving money on cell service.

Once you cross the 100 MB data limit per month, they charge $12/month per GB. You can put up to 5 phones on a plan and you are only charged for cell data, not for talk or text.
